The EU Leonardo programme aims at developing the quality, innovation and European dimension in vocational training systems and practices through trans-national co-operation. The objectives of the programme are to:

- Improve the skills and competencies of people, especially young people, in initial vocational training at all levels.

- Improve the quality of, and access to, continuing vocational training and the lifelong acquisition of skills and competencies, particularly in order to consolidate technological and organisational change.

- Promoting and reinforcing the contribution of vocational training to the process of innovation, with a view to improving competitiveness and entrepreneurship.

OGEEKA ‘DIMITRA’ participated in the Agrotica exhibition 2004 with its own kiosk. Among others, the AGROPLAN project was promoted with the use of a poster a project brief presentation in the Organisation’s promotion folder. Any interested person filled in an application form to receive the AGROPLAN deliverables, to be informed of the activities of the project and to participate in the short – term training programmes as regards farm management information technology and electronic commerce as well as the training activities of the AGROPLAN project. A number of 500 applications have been collected. The application data are now processed and dissemination material is going to be delivered and training programmes will be organised
